Non Fungible Token

WHAT IS AN NFT? WHAT DOES NFT STAND FOR?

Non-fungible token.

That doesn’t make it any clearer.

Right, sorry. “Non-fungible” more or less means that it’s unique and can’t be replaced with something else.

For example, money is fungible — trade one dollar for another dollar, and you’ll have exactly the same thing. A one-of-a-kind trading object, however, is non-fungible. If you traded it for a different object, you’d have something completely different.

Still don't have a clue what I am saying?

An NFT is a file that includes a digital contract (like a certificate of authenthicity code).

How do NFTs work?

At a very high level, most NFTs are part of the Ethereum or Tezos blockchain. Both are cryptocurrency, like bitcoin or dogecoin, but its blockchain supports these NFTs.

So NFTs are digital artworks?

NFTs can really be anything digital (such as drawings, music, your brain downloaded and turned into an AI), but a lot of the current excitement is around using the tech to sell digital art.

Where can I discover NFT art?

There are many places to find NFT art and a google search will produce better results then myself, but I'll leave you some of my places.
