The Portuguese-based and working visual artist Diogo Landô studied art and communication, as well as design and communication, at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP). Before devoting himself exclusively to his vocation as a freelance artist, he participated as a designer, art director and photographer in various creative projects, which, in addition to his studies, helped shape the orientation of his artistic activity.

As a visual artist, Landô finds himself constantly drawn to the limitless possibilities of the digital medium. His creative journey revolves around the creation of one-of-a-kind art pieces, where he seamlessly blends collage, photo manipulation, and painting techniques. His mission is to fuse these elements with cutting-edge production processes to deliver high-quality works that bridge the gap between classic and contemporary art.

At the heart of Landô’s artistic expression lies a profound fascination with emotions and history. Landô believes that these two intertwined facets of the human experience hold a wealth of untapped inspiration and untold stories. Through his art, the artist aims to capture the essence of these emotions and convey historical narratives in a visually compelling manner.

Landô’s artistic journey is a continuous quest to unearth beauty and provoke thought. Believing that beauty lies not only in aesthetic perfection but also in the raw, unfiltered emotions that art can elicit. By juxtaposing elements from different eras and drawing from a rich palette of emotions, Landô seeks to challenge conventional perspectives and inspire viewers to contemplate the complex tapestry of human existence.

Diogo Landô believes art, at its core, is a form of communication that reaches deep into our souls.
The artist consciously chooses not to offer detailed explanations for his artworks. Instead, Landô invites viewers to embrace a more personal and unguided experience when encountering his pieces. This allows for a genuine and intimate engagement with the artwork.

The creation of Landô’s digital art is a meticulous and innovative process that combines modern technology with traditional craftsmanship. Here, you will be taken behind the scenes of Landô’s technical and production methods, which culminates in the original, one-of-a-kind artworks that are both visually stunning and technically advanced.

Digital Tools and Equipment: Landô’s artistic journey begins with an arsenal of digital tools, including image editing software, a drawing screen tablet, and photography equipment. These tools allow him to seamlessly blend different elements, manipulate images, and apply his creative vision to the digital canvas.

One-of-a-Kind Originals: Each of his artworks is a singular masterpiece, proudly bearing the distinction of being a 1 of 1, produced as 1 original + 1 Artist Proof. This exclusivity ensures that collectors and art enthusiasts acquire a truly unique piece of art, making it a special addition to any collection.

Hand Signature and Unique Code: Each artwork bears the artist’s personal signature, confirming its authenticity and his direct involvement in its creation. Additionally, a 9-digit code is featured on the artwork, corresponding to a certificate of authenticity. This code adds an extra layer of verification and ensures the artwork’s provenance.

Pen Drive and Contract: In a digital age, Landô takes a unique approach to the concept of a physical signature. Alongside the artwork, he provides a hand-signed pen drive that includes a detailed contract.

This contract attests to the artwork’s uniqueness and contains images of the piece. It also includes a connection to his website, where collectors can obtain further validation and information about their acquisition.

Choice of Materials: The substrates Landô favors for his artworks are typically aluminum panels or acrylic panels. These materials provide a sleek and modern backdrop for the vibrant imagery he creates. Their durability and aesthetic appeal make them ideal canvases for showcasing Landô’s digital art.

UV Light Protection: To preserve the longevity of each artwork, Ladô applies a protective layer of varnish. This varnish serves as a shield against the damaging effects of UV light, safeguarding the integrity of the colors and preventing premature fading.

In essence, his technical and production process marries the latest advancements in digital art creation with the timeless tradition of art craftsmanship. The result is a series of original, high-quality artworks that captivate the eye, stimulate the mind, and offer collectors an unparalleled connection to the art and the artist. With each creation, Landô strives to push the boundaries of what digital art can achieve, leaving an indelible mark on the world of contemporary art.
